Grading
The next grading will be held on Sunday 2nd May 2010. All grading forms, CD’s and fees should be in by Friday 16th April at the latest, please remember you need to do your theory in the week preceding the grading. I will provide a timetable for the grading when I have received all the applications.
Training over Easter
We will continue training until after our last class on Thursday 1st April and resume training on Wednesday 7th April. Our childrens classes will recommence after the school holiday which will be on Thursday 15th April.
Competitions this year.
We are still finalising the program for this years Tournaments and as soon as the program is clear I will inform the membership.
Insurance and Annual Fees.
Our annual Insurance is due at the beginning of April so we need to cover this cost before then. If all students could pay the required fee ($25/year for Adults and $15 for children) ASAP it would be very helpful.
We are also having to implement an annual fee for our Tasmanian Association and the National Body. The ITF Taekwon-Do Tasmania fee is $20/year and the National Body fee is $12/year i.e. a total of $32 /year. Whilst this fee may seem an impost it will provide us with the funding necessary to run our website and assist in bringing senior instructors to Tassie and in the difficult task of applying for grants from funding bodies. This in turn will benefit all members of the body.
This fee will be collected at the forthcoming grading and during the week following the grading, if you could please ensure you can provide this it would be extremely helpful.
New Doboks and sparring gear.
Whilst in New Zealand recently I made contact with the TOP PRO agent who has agreed to supply us with the high quality DOBOK and Sparring gear that they produce. I have an example of these doboks and sparring gear should anyone wish to order them. The cost of the Doboks is about $90 and the sparring gear is about $110.
Many of you will also know Scott and Cathy who run Health and Leisure in the city and who are offering our members 20% discount on the items in their store. The list of equipment available can be seen on their posters on the corkboards in the Dojang.
