End of year and new year information

Students and Parents,

From 9am on Saturday 17th December Wayne and I will be testing for our 4th degrees followed by the colour belt gradings on Sunday the 18th December. Should you watch either of these gradings you are welcome.  Please note the below grading schedule so that you know when you will be doing your grading test. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your grading to adequately warm up and be ready to start at the designated time. The grading schedule will be as follows:

9am:

10th Gups (white belts)

9th Gups (one yellow stripe)

10:00am:

8.5th gups (two yellow stripes)

8th gups (yellow belts)

11:00am:

6th gups (green belts)

4th gups (blue belts)

3rd gups (red stripes)

Following the grading we will have an end of year BBQ at the dojang from 1pm onwards. We will provide sausages bread etc but if you want something specific then please BYO. Soft drinks can be purchased from the fridge in the dojang.

Our final regular class for the year will be on Wednesday 21st December and will re-commence on Monday the 9th of January. It is possible that a number of Holiday program classes will be held during the day while school is on Holiday, and we will let you know about these as soon as they are organised. Please ensure that we have up to date contact details, particularly e-mail addresses and keep an eye on our facebook page and website which is now quite active.

For our Southern ITF children’s classes and Kick fit strategy, we will re-commence on Monday the 13th February in line with the new term and we will follow the school terms meaning we should have about 10 classes per term. The fee will be $100/term. There is no charge for the end of term gradings as these are included in the original membership fee. Children from the kids’ classes are more than welcome to come along to the regular classes during January.

For all students (children and adults) we would like to remind you that it is a requirement that you must have a mouthguard with you when you come to training and that all males must have a groin guard. We have groin guards for sale so please come and see us. Mouthguards can be purchased from any chemist but we do have a few in stock at present. We also have sparring boots and gloves that are available for purchase. It is always better to have a set of your own.

Once again we would like to thank you all for your contribution and support throughout the year and look forward to a bigger and better 2017.

Regards,

Erik Holland
