Updates on preparation for end of year training and grading 2021

Hi Everyone,

SITF KIDS: Children with white belt and up to Red stripe on the whitebelt

A gentle reminder:

Term 4 will commence on Monday the 11th October at 4pm and will end on Wednesday the 15th December, with classes being held on Monday and Wednesday at 4pm as usual. The grading however for the final term will be held at the Dojang (training centre) on Sunday the 19th December with the appropriate page of their books needing to be handed in on the week before in class. Fees will remain the same for the last term and can be paid using direct debit, credit card at the centre, or cash preferably within the first two weeks of term 4.

Hwa Rang Youth Program (Youths with a black stripe on whitebelt and above this rank)

Term 4 will recommence on the 11th October at 5pm with classes being held on Monday and Wednesday until the 15th December. The grading for the final term will be held at the Dojang (training centre) on Sunday the19th December but grading forms and fee must be handed in a month before the grading, so by the 17th November. All students in this class should hand in their grading form by this date and should i decide they are not ready, I will let them know two weeks prior to the grading and return the fee. Fees will remain the same for the last term and can be paid using direct debit, credit card at the centre, or cash preferably within the first two weeks of term4. .

Adult students:

The grading for this group will be held at the Dojang (training centre) on Sunday the 19th December but grading forms and fee must be handed in a month before the grading, so by the 17th November.

I've noticed a significant drop off in attendance in this group recently, for a variety of reasons, and want to encourage you to attend as many classes as possible to prepare for the end of year grading. It should be noted that in our membership agreement, all students are required to attend 80% of classes (twice a week) in each grading period to be eligible to test. This requirement is to ensure students are prepared well for the test and know the work at the grading as well as achieve an appropriate standard. If students are struggling to attend class please have a discussion with me so we can arrangesome alternative training if possible. Note, my experience has shown me that training alone, without an instructor is not effective to attain the skills necessary to perform well at grading.

The end of year grading this year will be rather special, since Sabum Nim Wayne will be testing for 5th degree. This willmake the grading somewhat longer than usual for the senior ranks.

Finally we need to decide whether we wish to organise an after grading bar b que. Please let me know if this interests you and if you are prepared to assist in its organisation.

Thanks as always for your attention to this message.
